Some children (under 18) enrolled in Medicare are entitled to the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Under this scheme, children can claim up to $1095 for essential dental services, including check-ups, X-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions.

Maidstone Dental accepts payments by cash, credit card and EFTPOS, as well as Health Industry Claims and Payment Services (HICAPS) for insurance claims, Victorian Government dental schemes, and payment plan services.

Zip Pay gives our clients the peace of mind and financial freedom to complete their dental treatments through affordable payment plans that won’t break the bank.
1. If you don’t have one already, create a Zip Pay account before your first visit.
2. Book an appointment with Maidstone Dental for an initial consultation. The initial consultation will include a complete examination – which may consist of questions and X-rays. After the consultation, we will provide you with a full report and give you a clear idea of potential costs on the day of your treatment. During the initial consultation, you can also ask any questions or raise any concerns involving anything – from the treatment itself to the costs.
3. Before the day of the treatment, apply for the correct account limit to cover the cost of your treatment on your Zip Pay account.
4. After each appointment, simply give us the Zip Pay code on your phone app.
Zip Pay makes staying on top of your oral health care easy! To check your available funds before each appointment, just log onto your Zip Pay account online or through the app.
Our patients also have the option to use Afterpay, a digital payment system that enables them to make interest-free payments online and in-store. With Afterpay, they can pay for treatments on the same day, with a maximum cost of $1,500, and have the option to divide the payments into four equal instalments over an eight-week period.

3. After the appointment, scan your barcode at reception to complete the payment, which will be split into 4 instalments. After the appointment, you’ll only have to pay for the first instalment.
4. Your payment schedule for the remaining 3 instalments will then be emailed to you by Afterpay.
When using Afterpay, patients can enjoy interest-free payments and instant approval. As long as payments are made on-time, there are no extra fees. However, if a payment is made late, fees may apply. The approval process is quick and easy, with patients being notified of their approval status within seconds.

To keep up with the rising costs, from the 15th of November 2022, Maidstone Dental will be introducing a small surcharge on all card payments.
This surcharge is not an additional hidden fee but the merchant fee charged by our EFTPOS terminal provider whenever a customer opts to pay with card.
